BJP Plans 13 Service Programmes to Mark PM Modi’s 25-Year Public Service Journey

Andhra Pradesh Minister Satya Kumar Yadav has announced a series of 13 service-oriented programmes to commemorate Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 25 years in public service, with the campaign set to promote the spirit of social service and reinforce the national vision of Viksit Bharat by 2047.

The initiatives will begin on September 17, Prime Minister Modi’s birthday, and continue through October. The campaign will also coincide with another major milestone in Modi’s political journey - October 7 will mark 25 years since he first took charge as the Chief Minister of Gujarat.

Speaking to reporters in Hyderabad on Tuesday, Satya Kumar Yadav said the programmes were being planned as a tribute to Modi’s long public service journey. He said the campaign would encourage greater public participation in service activities while connecting them with the broader goal of building a developed India by 2047.

The BJP had traditionally organised a 15-day Seva Pakhwada featuring a range of service activities. This year, however, the party has opted for a different format, planning 13 specially designed programmes centred on public service and the idea of a Viksit Bharat.

Among the key initiatives is “Ashirwad Deep”, under which BJP workers will personally meet beneficiaries of welfare schemes implemented by the Central and state governments. Workers and beneficiaries will light a lamp together and take a pledge to contribute towards fulfilling Prime Minister Modi’s vision of a developed India, Satya Kumar Yadav said.

The programmes, scheduled to run from September 17 through October, are expected to take the campaign to the grassroots and encourage wider participation in service activities.

Meanwhile, the BJP is also preparing similar initiatives in other parts of the country. On August 29, BJP national secretary and MP Kavita Patidar, speaking in Raipur, announced the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan to mark Modi’s 25 years in public life. She said the campaign in Chhattisgarh would include a state-level workshop as well as grassroots service programmes aimed at advancing the Viksit Bharat 2047 mission.
