BJP Chief Nitin Nabin Meets Envoys from Eight Countries Under Know BJP

BJP president Nitin Nabin has expanded the party’s international outreach by engaging heads of mission and senior diplomatic representatives from eight countries, using the BJP’s “Know BJP” initiative to explain its organisational structure, grassroots network and governance approach while presenting the party’s perspective on India’s journey towards Viksit Bharat 2047.

Representatives from Armenia, Egypt, Vietnam, Bhutan, Suriname, the Philippines, Argentina and Tajikistan met Nabin at the BJP headquarters under the continuing “Know BJP” programme. Nabin briefed them on the BJP’s organisational structure and extensive grassroots network, highlighting the role of the karyakarta in maintaining continuous engagement with citizens. The initiative is overseen by the BJP’s Foreign Affairs Department, headed by Vijay Chauthaiwale, and is aimed at familiarising foreign representatives with the party’s history, ideology and functioning.

The meeting was part of Nabin’s continuing engagement with international representatives since becoming BJP president. In May 2026, he held a “Know BJP” interaction with representatives of 12 countries, including Brazil, Germany, Indonesia, Malaysia, Mauritius, New Zealand, Seychelles, Singapore, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Thailand and Vietnam. During that interaction, foreign representatives were briefed on the BJP’s organisation, future plans and perspective on Viksit Bharat 2047.

During Thursday’s meeting, Nabin also highlighted the BJP’s Seva Sankalp Abhiyan, launched on September 17, with activities including blood donation drives and health camps. The BJP said the campaign focuses on public service, public participation and the Viksit Bharat vision. Nabin also highlighted what the party described as India’s progress under Prime Minister Narendra Modi, citing infrastructure, welfare delivery, financial and digital inclusion, entrepreneurship and public healthcare. Ayushman Bharat was cited as an important healthcare initiative.

Nabin also spoke about Modi’s emphasis on expanding India’s international partnerships beyond traditional government-to-government relations to include businesses, students, diaspora communities, parliamentarians and political parties.

The reference to Viksit Bharat 2047 carries a broader national context. The vision is a Government of India development objective aimed at transforming India into a developed nation by 2047. Modi has described it as a national aspiration rather than the agenda of any single political party.

The BJP said the participating diplomats congratulated Modi on his third consecutive term and appreciated the Know BJP initiative. Sandeep Pathak, Bansuri Swaraj and Vijay Chauthaiwale also attended the meeting. The interaction was a BJP political outreach exercise, rather than an official diplomatic engagement conducted by the Ministry of External Affairs.
