BJP calls out Congress for ‘Cheating’ women voters
The Telangana BJP Mahila Morcha held a massive rally in Hyderabad’s Jubilee Hills, accusing the Congress government of neglecting the state’s women and youth. Participants expressed strong anger over what they called the Congress party’s failure to deliver on key promises made to women during the elections.
Addressing the gathering, Mahila Morcha state president Dr. Shilpa Renuka alleged that the Congress government had deceived women and young people with false promises. “Not a single assurance related to employment, safety, or economic empowerment has been fulfilled,” she said.
Dr. Renuka criticized the ruling party for failing to implement schemes like Mahila Nidhi, Mahalakshmi, Yuva Vikasa, Cheyutha, the electric scooter distribution for girls turning 18, and various self-employment programs. “All these promises remained on paper and never reached the people,” she added.
She further stated that Congress leaders were now approaching voters in the Jubilee Hills by-election without honoring their commitments. “After betraying women, they are once again asking for votes. This time, women will not be misled. Question them, confront them, and send them back empty-handed,” she urged the crowd.
Highlighting the BJP’s agenda, Dr. Renuka said the party remains committed to genuine public welfare. She pointed out that under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, numerous programs for women’s empowerment have been implemented across India. “It’s time for similar progress in Telangana,” she said, calling on women to support the BJP candidate in the Jubilee Hills by-election to “protect their self-respect and ensure real change.”
