Bistro Hospitality accelerates TGI Fridays’ India revival with Gurugram opening
American casual-dining chain TGI Fridays has strengthened its India presence with the launch of a new restaurant at Ambience Mall, Gurugram, marking another step in its expansion strategy amid a growing demand for premium casual dining in the country.
The outlet has been launched by Bistro Hospitality Pvt. Ltd. , the master franchisee of TGI Fridays in India, in collaboration with its North India franchise partner, Feastary Hospitality LLP . The high-profile launch event saw the presence of senior leaders from the global and Indian hospitality ecosystem, underlining the strategic importance of the Gurugram outlet in the brand’s India roadmap.
This is not TGI Fridays’ first restaurant in India. The brand has operated in the country earlier and is now being repositioned and scaled afresh under Bistro Hospitality’s leadership, with a renewed focus on consistency, localisation and premium guest experiences.
The Gurugram opening is part of a broader strategy to revive and expand the iconic American brand across key Indian markets. Speaking at the launch, Mr. Prashant Mukherjee, Director, Bistro Hospitality and Universal Success Enterprises Ltd., said the company aims to bring the globally recognised TGI Fridays experience to Indian consumers while adapting to local tastes. “We are proud and honoured to bring the world-famous TGI Fridays experience to Gurgaon along with our partners at Feastary. The fun is just getting started,” he said.
Located within the upscale Ambience Mall, the new restaurant features modern interiors, energetic lighting and social seating designed to create an immersive dining experience. The menu combines TGI Fridays’ international favourites including Loaded Potato Skins, Glazed Ribs, Sizzling Fajitas and signature burgers with India-friendly vegetarian offerings and spiced flavour profiles. A curated range of handcrafted beverages and seasonal specials further adds to the brand’s appeal.
Feastary Hospitality LLP, which holds TGI Fridays’ North India rights across nine states, is playing a key role in scaling the brand regionally. Mr. Suraj Mahant , Managing Partner, Feastary Hospitality LLP, said the strong response to the Gurugram outlet validates the brand’s resonance with Indian diners. “We plan to open three new outlets shortly and aim to establish 15 TGI Fridays restaurants across North India over the next three years,” he said.
Beyond high streets and malls, Bistro Hospitality has also acquired rights to set up TGI Fridays outlets at airports across India, signalling a multi-format growth strategy targeting both urban consumers and high-footfall travel hubs.
With this partnership-led approach, Bistro Hospitality and Feastary Hospitality are positioning TGI Fridays as a leading player in India’s casual-dining segment, focusing on steady expansion, operational consistency and wider accessibility across the country.
