
Bishnoi rises, Arshdeep enters top 10 in T20I rankings
Indian bowlers Ravi Bishnoi and Arshdeep Singh made gains in the latest ICC T20I rankings released on Wednesday. Bishnoi climbed to sixth place, while left-arm pacer Arshdeep entered the top 10 at No. 10. Varun Chakravarthy continues to be the highest-ranked Indian bowler at No. 4, while Axar Patel moved up to 13th.
In the batting charts, Abhishek Sharma remains the world’s No. 1 T20I batter with 829 points, followed by Tilak Varma in second and captain Suryakumar Yadav in sixth. Yashasvi Jaiswal, currently in India’s reserves for the Asia Cup, slipped to 11th. Ruturaj Gaikwad and Sanju Samson also improved, reaching 26th and 34th respectively.
Among all-rounders, Hardik Pandya held on to the No. 1 spot with 252 points. The rankings were updated after the UAE-Afghanistan-Pakistan tri-series, which Pakistan won by beating Afghanistan by 75 runs in the final.
In ODIs, there were no changes among top batters. Shubman Gill remains No. 1, with Rohit Sharma at No. 2, Virat Kohli at No. 4 and Shreyas Iyer at No. 8. However, India’s bowlers slipped: Kuldeep Yadav dropped to No. 4, Ravindra Jadeja to 10th, while Mohammed Shami and Mohammed Siraj both moved down to 14th and 15th.
