Bihar CM Nitish Kumar pledges 1 crore jobs in five years

In a significant announcement aimed at boosting employment in Bihar, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has pledged to create one crore job opportunities over the next five years. Speaking at a public event on Friday, the CM emphasized the state government’s focus on youth employment and skill development as a top priority.

Highlighting the need for robust job creation, Kumar said that the government is committed to providing avenues for both skilled and unskilled workers. “Our youth are our greatest asset. The Chief Minister also outlined plans to attract new industries, strengthen small and medium enterprises, and encourage startups in the state. He emphasized that initiatives would be taken to promote vocational training and digital literacy, ensuring that the workforce is equipped with the skills required for the evolving job market.

Kumar added that the government is working closely with private sectors and central agencies to bring investment to Bihar, which in turn will generate a wide range of employment options. He highlighted that the state’s improving infrastructure, ease of doing business, and proactive policies make Bihar a favorable destination for industries and entrepreneurs.

Officials indicated that the job creation plan would span multiple sectors including IT, manufacturing, education, healthcare, and agriculture. Special attention will be given to empowering women and marginalized communities through skill development programs and inclusive hiring policies.
