
Bhatti Vikramarka Participates in Bhakta Ramadasu Jayanti Celebrations in Hyderabad
Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka participated in the Bhakta Ramadasu Jayanti celebrations held grandly at the LB Indoor Stadium in the city.
Speaking on the occasion, he said that arts and culture are symbols of Telangana’s distinct identity . He stated that preserving the State’s cultural heritage and promoting the development of artistes are the primary objectives of the government .
He described Bhadrachala Ramadasu as a proud vaggeyakara who secured an immortal place in Telugu devotional literature. His keertanas, he noted, not only reflect deep devotional fervour but also showcase the richness of the Telugu language to the world.
The Deputy Chief Minister said that through the Telangana Sangeet Natak Akademi , various art forms are being promoted and taken to the people to encourage the growth of music and dance in the State. He added that efforts are ongoing to use art forms as a medium to communicate the government’s development programmes to society.
He further revealed that a special action plan is being prepared to integrate ancient temples, tourist destinations, and cultural heritage sites, including the UNESCO-recognised Ramappa Temple . He emphasised that arts are not merely a source of entertainment but a powerful instrument to inspire social awareness. The government, he affirmed, remains committed to the welfare of artistes and the preservation of the State’s cultural legacy.
