Bhatti Vikramarka Invites Global Telugu Diaspora to Invest in Telangana

Telangana Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka has urged the global Telugu diaspora to contribute to the state's economic transformation by investing in Telangana and supporting the development of their native places. Addressing the 19th American Telugu Association (ATA) National Convention at the Baltimore Convention Center in Maryland, USA, he said Non-Resident Indians (NRIs) have a crucial role to play in shaping Telangana's future through investments, entrepreneurship and knowledge sharing.

Speaking at the convention, Bhatti Vikramarka said Telangana is rapidly emerging as one of India's most dynamic states and is positioning itself to compete with leading economies across the world. He assured overseas investors that the government would extend full support to industrial, business and social initiatives undertaken by the diaspora. Highlighting the state's investor-friendly policies, he said a single-window clearance system has been strengthened to ensure faster approvals and ease of doing business. He added that he attended the event at the invitation of Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, who has been encouraging greater engagement with the global Telugu community.

The Deputy Chief Minister reiterated the government's ambition of transforming Telangana into a $3 trillion economy by 2047 through sustained investments in world-class infrastructure. He cited key projects such as the Musi River rejuvenation, the Regional Ring Road, 36 radial roads, and the proposed Future City around Hyderabad as major initiatives aimed at attracting global investment and creating a modern urban ecosystem.

He also invited NRIs to partner in the government's flagship Young India Integrated Residential Schools programme, under which international-standard schools will be established in 100 Assembly constituencies, each spread across 25 acres with an estimated investment of ₹200 crore. Additionally, he said the government is considering a statutory mechanism to address issues faced by NRIs and their parents residing in Telangana. He also appealed to overseas Telugus to participate in the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of the electoral rolls by updating their voter details through the online portal.
