Bharat Future City Master Plan to Be Unveiled at Telangana Global Summit: CM Revanth

Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has said the master plan for Bharat Future City, Telangana’s ambitious upcoming urban development project, will be unveiled at the Invest Telangana Global Summit-2026 scheduled for December. Envisioned on the outskirts of Hyderabad, the city is being developed as a major hub for advanced technology, education, healthcare, life sciences, electric vehicles and artificial intelligence.

Speaking at the Telangana Praja Palana Dinotsavam celebrations at Nampally Public Gardens, Revanth Reddy said Telangana’s future development should draw inspiration from its history while looking ahead. He called for the participation of the state’s four crore people in building a Telangana capable of earning global recognition. He also recalled September 17, 1948, when the erstwhile Hyderabad State was integrated with the Indian Union, describing it as a significant milestone in the transition from princely rule to democratic governance.

The Chief Minister said Bharat Future City would feature dedicated zones such as the Young India Skills University, Life Sciences Hub, EV Park, AI City, Health City and Education City. The government intends to develop the new city according to international standards and emerging technological requirements.

He said major investments were being proposed in the technology ecosystem. TCS has come forward with a proposed investment of ₹70,000 crore for an AI data centre, while Amazon has begun work on a data centre project involving an investment of around ₹1 lakh crore, he said.

Revanth Reddy said Telangana’s per-capita income has reached ₹4,18,931, and the government aims to build a $3 trillion economy by 2047 while increasing the state’s contribution to India’s GDP.

He said nearly ₹1.72 lakh crore had been spent on agriculture during the past 32 months, including ₹20,616 crore towards loan waivers benefiting 25.35 lakh farmer families. More than ₹36,000 crore had been provided through Rythu Bandhu and Rythu Bharosa, besides a ₹500-per-quintal bonus for fine paddy.

The government was also focusing on women’s welfare, social justice, healthcare and education, he said. Initiatives include Gruha Jyothi, affordable LPG cylinders, housing programmes, BC reservation proposals and expanded Aarogyasri coverage.

The proposed Regional Ring Road, industrial corridors, dry ports and greenfield highways would strengthen Telangana’s economic connectivity, Revanth Reddy said. The government has also proposed 122.9 km of Hyderabad Metro Phase-2 expansion at ₹38,595 crore.

He said the 55-km Musi River revival project, along with proposed airports at Adilabad and Mamunur, would further support the state’s urban and regional development. The December summit, he added, would showcase Telangana’s investment opportunities and development vision to the world.
