The government has taken key decisions regarding the development of the Bhadrachalam temple. Chief Minister Revanth Reddy conducted a high-level review on the development of the Sri Sita Ramachandra Swamy Temple . He discussed temple reconstruction and pilgrim amenities with officials and personally examined multiple proposed designs.

On the occasion, the Chief Minister emphasised that development works must strictly follow Agama Shastra traditions without disturbing the temple’s ancient heritage . He directed officials to complete the development in three phases at a cost of ₹300 crore , and to prepare a comprehensive action plan .

Keeping in view the Godavari Pushkaralu scheduled in 2027 , he instructed that works feasible for completion before the event should be prioritised. An allocation of ₹500 crore has been earmarked for Pushkar arrangements, including the improvement of ghats, roads, and basic infrastructure for the convenience of devotees.

Officials have been directed to ensure that Phase-I works are completed by March 31, 2027 . They were also asked to prepare estimates in advance for works to be taken up after the Pushkaralu.

The meeting was attended by Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, ministers Konda Surekha, Tummala Nageswara Rao, and Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy, along with senior officials.

The Chief Minister reiterated the government’s commitment to transform the Bhadrachalam temple into an international spiritual destination .
