Bette Midler teases next chapter of Hocus Pocus

Veteran actress and singer Bette Midler has expressed her excitement for the upcoming Hocus Pocus 3 , calling the script “brilliant.” She shared her thoughts during an appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen on October 16, 2025, saying, “Well, you know, they sent a script, and a lot of it was brilliant… So I got very excited.” Midler added that the team is currently working on logistical aspects, including locations and production costs.

Hocus Pocus 3 was officially confirmed by Disney in 2023, following the success of Hocus Pocus 2 , which was released on Disney+ on September 30, 2022. The second installment became a major hit, setting streaming records and quickly gaining a strong fan following. The original Hocus Pocus , released in 1993, was directed by Kenny Ortega and starred Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Kathy Najimy as the mischievous Sanderson Sisters.
