Bengaluru’s izmomicro unveils game-changing motor controller
izmomicro, a division of izmo Ltd., on Tuesday announced the launch of its latest innovation in high-performance motor control technology, designed for industrial automation, electric vehicles (EVs), and next-generation energy systems.
The company has developed a Galvanic Isolated Hex Bridge Inverter with integrated controller and drivers for three-phase Servo/BLDC motors. Capable of delivering 100 amps of continuous current at 48 VDC, the system ensures galvanic isolation, a feature that enhances both safety and reliability.
Positioned as a compact BLDC motor controller, the product addresses the growing demand for efficient and safe motor control solutions across sectors such as robotics, EVs, aerospace, defense, and automation. The highly integrated system combines power electronics, isolation technology, and advanced motor control logic, requiring precise design across multiple disciplines including thermal stability, EMI suppression, current handling, and safety engineering.
izmomicro confirmed that the inverter has already been shipped to a major public sector manufacturer, validating its performance in real-world, mission-critical applications.
This motor controller is an important milestone for izmomicro, bringing together our expertise in power electronics, systems design, and advanced manufacturing, said Sanjay Soni, Managing Director of izmo Ltd. He added that the product underscores India’s capability to deliver globally competitive solutions for the expanding EV and industrial ecosystems.
izmomicro is positioning itself as a leading R&D hub for advanced semiconductor packaging and system design. With several design wins already achieved, the company is now focusing on scaling up for high-volume production in industries including automotive, energy, and industrial automation, while planning to expand manufacturing capacity to meet rising demand.
The development comes at a time when the global power electronics market is projected to exceed USD 40 billion by 2030, driven by renewable energy adoption, automation, and electric mobility. In India, the EV sector is forecast to grow at a 49 per cent CAGR between 2023 and 2030, with motor controllers emerging as one of the most critical enabling technologies.
