Bengaluru-based electric vehicle startup Zuperspeed Automotive has taken a significant leap toward redefining India’s automotive landscape by appointing Joachim Nordwall , former Design Director at Koenigsegg Automotive , as its Strategic Design Advisor .

Nordwall, internationally acclaimed for shaping some of the world’s most radical hypercars including the Koenigsegg Jesko and Regera, brings nearly two decades of experience in pushing the boundaries of automotive design. His work has been credited with blending innovation, performance, and aesthetics to create hypercars that are both visually striking and technologically advanced.

The move marks a landmark moment for India’s automotive industry , signaling a shift from merely importing design inspiration to building world-class sports cars on home soil . For EV enthusiasts and sports car fans, this represents a new chapter where cutting-edge design and performance are being cultivated within India.

At Zuperspeed, Joachim Nordwall will provide strategic design direction, helping the startup align its creations with global design standards while establishing a d istinctive, performance-driven design language.
