Bengaluru-Hyderabad Private Bus Gutted In Fire Near Anantapur

A private travel bus travelling from Bengaluru to Hyderabad was completely gutted in a fire near Miduturu village in Anantapur district in the early hours of Friday. No injuries or casualties were reported in the incident.

The fire broke out at around 2:50 am, with flames first noticed in the rear portion of the bus. According to police, a passenger seated toward the back spotted the fire and immediately alerted the driver.

Acting swiftly, the driver stopped the bus and ensured that all passengers and staff got off safely. A total of 37 people, including 33 passengers and four crew members, escaped unharmed before the flames spread across the vehicle.

The fire soon engulfed the entire bus, leaving it severely damaged. Fire and emergency personnel were alerted and reached the spot shortly afterwards. They managed to bring the blaze under control and prevented the situation from escalating further.

Police said the exact cause of the fire is yet to be established. A case has been registered treating the incident as an accidental fire, and an investigation is underway to determine how the blaze started.

The prompt action by the passenger who noticed the flames and the driver’s decision to immediately stop the bus helped all those on board evacuate safely.
