Bengaluru, Hyderabad Airports Among World's Top 5 Family-Friendly Airports

Two major Indian airports have earned global recognition for delivering a family-friendly travel experience, with Kempegowda International Airport, Bengaluru , and Rajiv Gandhi International Airport, Hyderabad , featuring among the world's top five family-friendly airports in the Happiest Airports Ranking 2026 by UK-based travel experience provider AttractionTickets.com .

The ranking assessed more than 140 airports worldwide across nine family-focused parameters, including Google review ratings, children's play areas, family security lanes, baby-changing facilities, stroller services, rest and sleep zones, Wi-Fi quality, airport size, and support for neurodivergent passengers. The final rankings were compiled through data analysis conducted in May 2026 .

Singapore Changi Airport secured the top position with 19.3 points out of 20 , followed by Istanbul Airport with 19.2 points and Incheon International Airport, South Korea , with 18.8 points . Rajiv Gandhi International Airport, Hyderabad , ranked fourth with 18.5 points , while Kempegowda International Airport, Bengaluru , secured the fifth position with 18.4 points .

Hyderabad Airport's recognition reflects its focus on creating an inclusive travel environment through facilities such as dedicated children's play areas, family rooms, baby care rooms across terminal levels, complimentary baby strollers, and trained passenger service associates . The airport also provides additional amenities including therapy dogs, a yoga room, diverse food and beverage options, and family-friendly retail outlets .

Bengaluru Airport has also strengthened its family-oriented passenger services by offering children's play zones, baby care facilities, stroller assistance, family-friendly lounges, and accessibility support . The airport has focused on creating comfortable spaces for families travelling with infants, young children, and elderly passengers while improving overall passenger convenience.
