BEL, Metamind, Kristellar Join Forces to Build Next-Gen Defence Tech Ecosystem

State-run defence PSU Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) on Monday signed a tripartite Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Metamind Systems Private Ltd and Kristellar Aerospace Private Ltd to collaborate on the co-development of future-ready technologies for both defence and non-defence sectors.

In a statement, BEL said the partnership aims to leverage the complementary strengths of the three entities to drive innovation and execution efficiency. While BEL will bring its strong manufacturing base and market outreach , Metamind will contribute expertise in AI-driven data analytics, digital transformation, and project governance, and Kristellar will add its advanced R&D and aerospace systems engineering capabilities .

The collaboration is expected to enhance competitiveness, mitigate execution risks, and deliver scalable, high-impact solutions across sectors. The companies will jointly focus on areas such as cybersecurity, semiconductor manufacturing, data centres, and the development of aerospace and defence systems, electronic modules, and sub-systems.

BEL noted that the initiative aligns with the government’s push for indigenisation and technological self-reliance under programmes like Make in India and Atmanirbhar Bharat .

The partnership is also expected to boost India’s export potential in high-technology products and integrated systems, while strengthening domestic capabilities in critical sectors.
