The Board of Control for Cricket in India ( BCCI ) is all set to celebrate Indian cricket’s latest historic triumphs at the annual Naman Awards , scheduled for Sunday in Mumbai. The Suryakumar Yadav-led men’s team, fresh from their record-breaking T20 World Cup victory, will take centre stage along with four other Indian sides who have won ICC titles in recent years.

Instituted in 2010, the Naman Awards are presented by the BCCI to honour excellence in Indian cricket, both at the international and domestic levels. Over the years, the awards have recognised outstanding performances from players, coaches, and administrators, and have been supported by leading sponsors, with major brands backing the event to celebrate the spirit of Indian cricket. Earlier editions have seen stars like Virat Kohli, Mithali Raj, and Rohit Sharma being felicitated for their remarkable contributions.

This year, the awards ceremony promises to be historic, marking the first time all five recent ICC title-winning Indian teams will be celebrated together. The senior men’s team, coached by Gautam Gambhir , defeated New Zealand by 96 runs in Ahmedabad on March 8, becoming the first team to win the T20 World Cup three times, defend the title successfully, and achieve it on home soil. Other honoured teams include the senior women’s ODI World Cup 2025 winners, the men’s ICC Champions Trophy 2025 champions, the Under-19 Cricket World Cup 2026 squad, and the women’s U-19 T20 World Cup 2025 team.

Individual honours include Shubman Gill , receiving the Polly Umrigar Award for Best International Cricketer (Men), and Smriti Mandhana , winning the same accolade for women for a record fifth time. Legendary stalwarts Roger Binny and Rahul Dravid will be awarded the Col. C.K. Nayudu Lifetime Achievement Award , while former captain Mithali Raj will receive the BCCI Lifetime Achievement Award for Women .

Domestic stars are also recognised. Ira Jadhav and Shafali Verma will be celebrated for their performances in women’s domestic cricket, while Ayush Mhatre and Harsh Dubey will be honoured as best all-rounders. The Mumbai Cricket Association , after a stellar season with four titles and two runner-up finishes, will be acknowledged as the top-performing state association.
