
Bank of India Distributes 500 Bicycles to Girl Students in Wanaparthy Under CSR Initiative
Public sector lender Bank of India , as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, distributed 500 bicycles to girl students of the PM SHRI Zilla Parishad Girls High School in Wanaparthy district.
According to a statement issued by the bank on Friday, the bicycles are intended to improve commuting facilities for students and encourage them to pursue higher education .
The programme, held on Thursday, was attended by Nagarkurnool MP Mallu Ravi , Wanaparthy MLA Thudi Megha Reddy , District Collector Adarsh Surabhi , and Bank of India General Manager Manoj Srivastava .
Speakers noted that the bicycles would provide significant relief to girls travelling from remote areas , while officials appreciated the initiative, stating it would help reduce dropout rates and promote educational empowerment among students.
