Bandi Sanjay Kumar Should Resign Immediately: MLA KP Vivekanand

BRS MLA KP Vivekanand has demanded that Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay Kumar should immediately resign to ensure a fair and impartial investigation into the POCSO case registered against his son, Bandi Bhagirath.

Speaking at a press conference on Monday, Vivekanand alleged that due to a “ secret understanding ” between Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and Bandi Sanjay, the case has remained without an arrest even after three days of registration.

He accused Bandi Sanjay of using religion and God for political advancement , and made sharp remarks questioning his financial rise. “How did a person who was reportedly begging before 2018 acquire assets worth hundreds of crores today?” he asked.

Vivekanand further alleged that Bandi Sanjay was engaging in blackmail politics while shedding crocodile tears , and claimed that he had “mortgaged the BJP to Revanth Reddy” for political gains. He also criticised remarks describing the incident involving a minor girl as a “honey trap,” calling it the height of misuse of authority .

The MLA alleged that there is clear evidence showing Bandi Sanjay is intimidating the parents of the minor victim , and demanded that his name be added in the FIR as well. He questioned whether there are separate rules for the powerful and the weak.

“As if acting like they are wrestling in Delhi, Congress and BJP are actually maintaining friendship in the state politics,” he said, adding that the “drama” between the two parties would be exposed soon.

He also stated that the BRS party would stand by the victims until justice is delivered, and demanded that the central government immediately dismiss Bandi Sanjay Kumar from his post .
