The cult action thriller Athidhi is heading back to the big screen in a grand 4K re-release, with fans across the Nizam region gearing up to relive the film’s stylish action and chartbuster soundtrack once again. The makers officially announced that the Athidhi 4K version will hit cinemas on May 29, 2026, promising a nostalgic theatrical experience for audiences.
Originally released in 2007, the film starred Mahesh Babu in one of his most intense action-packed roles, alongside Amrita Rao . Directed by Surender Reddy, the film earned a strong fan following over the years for its stylish presentation, action sequences, emotional drama, and memorable music composed by Mani Sharma.
The re-release in 4K is being planned on a massive scale across the Nizam territory, with distributors aiming to recreate the film’s theatrical frenzy for a new generation of audiences and longtime fans alike. The release will be handled by Asian Cinemas in association with Lakshmi Naarasimha Movies.
