Indian pickleball continues its strong rise on the global stage as Arjun Singh and Aditya Singh captured the men’s doubles 5.0 title at the US Open Pickleball Championship in Naples, Florida, adding yet another golden chapter to their growing partnership.
The Indian pair showed remarkable resilience in the final, recovering after losing the opening set to defeat J Meode and W Lin 9-11, 11-2, 11-7. After a shaky start, the duo found their rhythm with sharp coordination, aggressive net play, and steady control in the decider to seal the championship.
This victory marks a special milestone for Arjun Singh , as it is his third gold at the tournament and his second alongside his brother Aditya Singh . The duo had earlier in the same competition clinched the U18 boys doubles title , underlining their consistency across categories.
Speaking after the win, the champions said the triumph carried deep personal meaning. “Winning another gold at the US Open is very rewarding and doing it together once again makes it extra special. We will continue to work hard to repeat these results with the support of our family and everyone around us,” they said.
India’s success at the event did not end there. Another promising pair, Panth Thakkar and Atharva Sheth , secured the silver medal in the men’s doubles 4.5 category. They went down in the final to Caian Appel and Michael Van Dusen 8-11, 9-11 after a competitive contest.
