Bank of Maharashtra (BoM) has released an official notification for the recruitment of 600 Apprentices under the Apprentices Act, 1961. Eligible candidates can submit their applications online through the bank’s official website bankofmaharashtra.in from January 15 to January 25, 2026 .

The apprenticeship engagement will be for a period of one year , during which selected candidates will receive a monthly stipend of ₹12,300 . The bank has clarified that apprentices will not be entitled to any additional allowances or benefits, and completion of the training will not guarantee employment with the bank.

Applicants must hold a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognised university or institution approved by the Government of India or its regulatory bodies. In addition, candidates must be proficient in the local language of the State or Union Territory for which they apply. Proficiency must be supported by a Class 10 or Class 12 marksheet or certificate indicating the local language as one of the subjects.

Candidates who have previously undergone apprenticeship training in any organisation, are currently pursuing an apprenticeship, or have one year or more of work or training experience after completing their educational qualifications are not eligible to apply.

As per the notification, the age limit as on November 30, 2025 , is 20 to 28 years , with relaxation applicable for reserved categories as per government norms.

The 600 apprentice vacancies have been distributed across various States and Union Territories. Maharashtra accounts for the highest number with 261 posts , followed by Madhya Pradesh (45) , Uttar Pradesh (34) , Gujarat (25) , Tamil Nadu and Karnataka (21 each) , and Telangana (17) . Other States and UTs have vacancies ranging from one to fifteen posts.

The application fee has been fixed at ₹150 plus GST for candidates belonging to the unreserved, EWS and OBC categories, while SC and ST candidates need to pay ₹100 plus GST . Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) are exempted from paying any fee.

Provisionally selected candidates will be imparted state-wise apprenticeship training based on the bank’s operational requirements. The engagement is purely for training purposes, and the bank has stated that it does not carry any obligation to provide regular employment either during or after the apprenticeship period.

Candidates must apply online by uploading scanned copies of their photograph, signature, left thumb impression, and a handwritten declaration in English . Aadhaar details are mandatory at the time of registration. Applicants are advised to carefully read the instructions and ensure that all information furnished is correct before final submission.
