AP Tourism Seals Key Pact with Indian Culinary Institute

In a major step towards transforming Andhra Pradesh into a premier culinary tourism destination, the state tourism department has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Indian Culinary Institute in Tirupati. The agreement was signed in the presence of Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, with senior officials from both sides formalizing the partnership .

The initiative is aimed at taking the authentic flavors of Telugu cuisine to a wider national and international audience, while highlighting the state’s rich and diverse food heritage . Under this collaboration, the Indian Culinary Institute will support efforts to promote regional dishes and culinary traditions on global platforms.

The MoU also focuses on enhancing skill development in the culinary sector, creating job opportunities, and strengthening employment prospects. In addition, it will facilitate the organization of food festivals and tourism events by the Andhra Pradesh Tourism Authority to boost the visibility of local cuisine.

Officials believe the partnership will play a crucial role in positioning Andhra Pradesh as a key culinary tourism hub, attracting food lovers and travelers from across the world. Tourism Minister Kandula Durgesh and members of the AP Hotel Association attended the event.
