Andhra Pradesh former Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy has strongly refuted claims by the opposition TDP-Janasena alliance that the state’s brand value has suffered under the YSRCP government.

Citing recent data released by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), Jagan pointed out that between 2019 and 2024, Andhra Pradesh has shown strong performance in the industrial and manufacturing sectors. According to RBI statistics released this month, the state ranked fifth nationwide in the manufacturing sector during this period.

Jagan also highlighted that Andhra Pradesh led South India in gross value added (GVA) growth in manufacturing and secured the fifth position across the country. He made these points in a post on ‘X’ platform.

The Chief Minister further noted that Andhra Pradesh is at the forefront in industrial growth in South India and holds the eighth position at the national level. “Given these figures, is it fair to say that ‘Brand Andhra Pradesh has been destroyed’? Is it devastation, or is it the result of economic growth under effective leadership?” Jagan questioned.

He emphasized that the opposition’s repeated claims of the state’s declining brand are completely unfounded. “If their allegations were true, the state’s industrial and manufacturing performance would have been dismal. But the reality is entirely different,” he said.

There has been no response from the TDP regarding Jagan’s remarks so far.
