Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu reviewed the state’s upcoming Family Benefit Management System (FBMS) at the Secretariat in Amaravati. The new system aims to monitor the implementation of various welfare schemes and public services in real time through a centralized data network.

During the review, the Chief Minister said the FBMS would integrate information from different government departments to provide a unified view of services and benefits. He announced that the system is expected to be operational by June, along with the rollout of a “Smart Family Card” containing comprehensive family information.

The FBMS will allow authorities to collect real-time data on families and individuals, enabling better monitoring of government schemes and public services. Every family in the state will be treated as a single unit under the system, and the Smart Family Card will serve as a one-stop solution for accessing services.

The Chief Minister instructed officials to issue QR code-enabled Smart Family Cards to all 1.4 crore families by June. Each card will include 25 types of information, including details such as vaccination records, Aadhaar, FBMS ID, caste verification, nutrition programs, ration card information, scholarships, and pensions.

Chandrababu emphasized that the system should not be limited to pensions or ration schemes alone, but should record all citizen-related data. Static and dynamic data should be updated continuously, ensuring accurate, real-time monitoring.

The Chief Minister highlighted that the goal is to make public services easily accessible through a single card. The FBMS will also address challenges in identifying beneficiaries for various schemes. Urban and rural “Swarna Andhra Vision Units” will regularly update family data, and the Smart Family Card will provide all relevant information, including Aadhaar details, on a single platform.

Officials were instructed to complete the data consolidation by January 2026 so that the Smart Family Cards can be distributed by June. The review meeting was attended by Chief Secretary K. Vijayanand and senior officials from finance, health, local governance, urban development, and planning departments.
