
AP to Celebrate Republic Day in Amaravati for First Time
Andhra Pradesh will host its Republic Day celebrations in Amaravati for the first time , marking a major milestone in the capital’s development .
The event is scheduled at a newly developed parade ground near Seed Axis Road , opposite the ministers’ bungalows . The 22-acre site includes 15 acres for VVIP and VIP parking and 25 acres for public parking . A separate VIP gallery has been arranged exclusively for Amaravati farmers , who have received invitation cards to attend the celebrations.
Municipal Minister P. Narayana reviewed the arrangements and inspected facilities for dignitaries and the public . Officials from the Capital Region Development Authority (CRDA) are organizing seating for approximately 13,000 people .
Minister Narayana directed authorities to ensure smooth arrangements so that neither VVIPs nor attendees face inconvenience . The move highlights the government’s efforts to position Amaravati as a centre for civic and cultural events in the state.
