
AP Targets Global Spotlight for Homegrown Products
In a bid to elevate locally made goods to global prominence, the N. Chandrababu Naidu government is rolling out a focused strategy to transform products from Andhra Pradesh into internationally competitive brands.
At a review held at the Real Time Governance Society in Amaravati, the Chief Minister assessed the development of industrial clusters across key regions such as Visakhapatnam and Tirupati, along with projects under the Bharat Udyogik Vikas Yojana.
He stressed that strong logistics , connectivity , and infrastructure are essential for industrial success, directing officials to ensure seamless road, rail, and port linkages. Reducing transport costs , he noted, is crucial for improving competitiveness . To support this, facilities such as power, water, cold storage, and warehousing will be integrated with logistics parks.
The state is advancing key projects including a Rare Earth Mineral Park and the East Coast Industrial Corridor, alongside the expansion of MSMEs through a cluster-based approach.
Emphasising quality , Naidu said global recognition depends on maintaining high standards, urging industries to align with international benchmarks. He also proposed linking Farmer Producer Organizations with industrial clusters to benefit both farmers and industries, while promoting industrial clusters as growth engines.
The government is also targeting employment generation by establishing a mega industrial park in each district and developing modern industrial townships with worker amenities.
Highlighting the need for skilled manpower, the Chief Minister called for industry-aligned education and the introduction of hybrid courses in universities, while encouraging entrepreneurship through dedicated initiatives.
The meeting was attended by Industries Minister T. G. Bharath and Chief Secretary Sai Prasad, along with senior officials.
