AP signs MoUs with IBM, TCS for Quantum Valley

State IT and RTG Department Secretary Bhaskar Kaneni has revealed that IBM will set up two quantum computers in Amaravati Quantum Valley by next January and three more computers by 2027. On the second day of the District Collector's Conference being held at the Secretariat, he gave a presentation regarding the formation of Amaravati Quantum Valley. He said that work is being done to make AP a global quantum destination. For this, a road map has been prepared in two phases and we are moving ahead.

The target is 2030

He said that by 2030, the goal is to achieve quantum hardware exports worth 5000 crores annually from Amaravati Quantum Valley, and also to conduct skill training programs in quantum computing for 5000 people annually. He said that the intention is to establish at least 100 seed companies (startups) in Quantum Valley with incentives of Rs.1000 crores. With the arrival of Quantum Valley, there will be revolutionary changes in the state. He said that quantum computing logarithms can bring amazing results in all 14 fields including medical health, insurance, finance, artificial intelligence and mission learning, material science and chemistry, optimization and logistics, climate, energy and environment.

Quantum Valley in 50 acres

He said that CRDA has already allocated 50 acres of land for the construction of Amaravati Quantum Valley in the capital Amaravati. It has been revealed that they have prepared building samples for the construction of the Quantum Valley building. About 80 to 90 thousand people will work in this building. He said that 3 lakh qubit quantum computers will be working in the building complex in the future.

He said that IBM, TCS and L&T companies have come forward to carry out investments and activities in Quantum Valley and we have already signed an MoU with these companies. Amaravati Quantum Computing Company (ACCC) has already been formed and Board of Directors appointments have also been made. He said that there is going to be a huge amount of education and job opportunities in this field.

Awareness is the key:

Bhaskar Katmaneni said that the District Collectors should act as ambassadors in the districts to create awareness among the people and students about quantum fields at the district level. The District Collectors were advised to create awareness in the respective districts about the need for quantum computing and its benefits. Mainly in the colleges, the youth should be encouraged to study quantum computing courses by increasing their awareness about it. Also, they want to ensure that quantum computing is a curriculum in undergraduate courses. They want to ensure that students are fully aware of quantum principles. Collectors should focus on making our students ready for the future science society.

CM praises Quantum Valley building model

Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu has expressed his satisfaction over the model of Amaravati Quantum Valley building complex to be constructed in the capital Amaravati. Appreciated that the model was good and after many exercises a good model was made in a short time.
