

AP High Court Gets Three Judges, IPS Officers Reshuffled
The Andhra Pradesh Government and the Andhra Pradesh High Court witnessed significant administrative developments on Monday, with the swearing-in of three new Additional Judges and the transfer of several IPS officers across the state.
In a major boost to the state's judicial system, Chief Justice Lisa Gill administered the oath of office to Sunita Gandham , Alapati Giridhar , and Purushottam Kumar Chintalapudi as Additional Judges of the Andhra Pradesh High Court . The ceremony was held in the First Court Hall following the approval of their appointments by President Droupadi Murmu and the issuance of a formal notification by the Union Ministry of Law and Justice .
With the induction of the three judges, the strength of the Andhra Pradesh High Court has increased from 29 to 32 judges . Officials said the appointments are expected to improve the disposal of pending cases and enhance the overall efficiency of judicial proceedings. The event was attended by High Court judges, senior advocates, Bar Council representatives, judicial officers, registrars, and members of the legal fraternity.
Meanwhile, the state government issued orders transferring and posting several IPS officers as part of an administrative reshuffle. According to G.O. Rt. No. 1330 issued by the General Administration Department , Navjyoti Mishra , ASP of Chintapalli, has been appointed as OSD (Administration), Markapuram , while Patil Devaraj Manish , ASP of Kakinada, has been posted as SP (Administration), East Godavari (Rajamahendravaram) .
Among other transfers, Manda Jawali Alphonse , ASP of Nandyal, has been appointed OSD (Administration), Polavaram , and Manoj Ramanath Hegde , ASP of Rajampet, has been posted as OSD (Law and Order), Amaravati . Rohit Kumar Choudhary , ASP of Tadipatri, has been transferred as Additional SP, Palnadu , while Susmita , ASP of Jangareddygudem, has been appointed ASP of Nandyal.
The government has directed the Director General of Police (DGP) to implement the transfer orders immediately. Together, the judicial appointments and police reshuffle reflect ongoing efforts to strengthen governance, improve institutional capacity, and enhance administrative efficiency across Andhra Pradesh.
This combined development highlights the state's focus on reinforcing both the judicial and law enforcement systems through strategic appointments and administrative restructuring.
