AP govt warns public not to trust middlemen for SADAREM slot bookings

The Andhra Pradesh government has urged persons with disabilities to stay alert amid reports that middlemen are illegally collecting money by promising slot transfers for SADAREM assessments.

SADAREM (Software for Assessment of Disabled for Access, Rehabilitation and Empowerment) is the government system used to issue disability certificates. On November 14, 2025, a total of 31,050 slots were released statewide, and all were booked within two days.

Currently, disability assessment camps are being held in 118 hospitals across the state (112 existing centres plus 6 newly added). Officials confirmed receiving complaints that some agents were demanding ₹5,000 to ₹10,000, claiming they could “book slots in another district and transfer them later to Anantapur,” thereby cheating applicants.

Officials made it clear that no slot booked through a broker or middleman will be transferred under any circumstances.

“Do not trust agents for slot booking or transfer. Even if you pay them, your slot will not be transferred. Such requests will be cancelled immediately. Criminal cases will be filed against those involved,” the authorities said.

Applicants who need a transfer must raise an official request through one of the following channels:

• PGRS Portal: Submit a request at the Public Grievance Redressal System (pgrs.ap.gov.in).

• Grievance Day: Visit the District Collectorate on any Monday during Grievance Day.

• DCHS Office: Submit a written request at the District Coordinator of Hospital Services office.

• Email From the Current Hospital: The hospital where the slot is currently booked must send an official transfer request.

Officials assured that transfers are done free of cost and will be approved only through these authorised procedures.

Meanwhile, many applicants have reported serious technical problems while trying to book slots. The website has been extremely slow for the past two days, leaving several users unable to complete their bookings. Complaints about the system’s poor performance have been pouring in to the government.
