
AP Government Acts to Rescue Telugus Amid Gulf Crisis
In the wake of rising hostilities between Israel and Iran, the Andhra Pradesh government has initiated measures to safeguard Telugu citizens stranded in Gulf nations .
Minister for NRI Empowerment and Relations, Kondapalli Srinivas , said the state is actively coordinating efforts to ensure the safe return of those affected by the prevailing tensions . With travel disruptions reported at several airports, many passengers are facing uncertainty and hardship.
Following the directives of Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu , authorities are closely monitoring the situation. The Andhra Pradesh Non-Resident Telugu Society (APNRTS) has mobilised its network of coordinators across Gulf countries to extend assistance . In coordination with local Telugu associations, arrangements are being made to provide temporary shelter , security, and other essential support to those in need.
APNRTS officials remain in constant touch with field coordinators and are tracking developments. The Minister advised affected individuals to utilise the services of Indian embassies and the state government’s 24/7 helpline .
