AP GENCO Hands Over Compassionate Appointments to 27 Beneficiaries

Energy Minister Gottipati Ravikumar assured that the coalition government stands firmly with the families of electricity department employees who lost their lives in various accidents. Under the leadership of Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu , eligible families are being provided with job opportunities through compassionate appointments, he stated.

On Friday, at his office in the Secretariat, Minister Gottipati, along with Special Chief Secretary of the Electricity Department Vijayanand, handed over appointment letters to 27 beneficiaries.

Positions in line with educational qualifications

The minister noted that during the previous government, highly educated candidates were limited to junior assistant positions. However, since the coalition government took office, appointments are being made based on educational qualifications, including positions like Junior Engineer. He added that over 500 employees in the electricity department have been provided jobs through compassionate appointments so far.

Appointments every three months

To ensure that families do not have to wait for years, the minister promised to conduct compassionate appointment drives every three months. Newly appointed employees are currently receiving training at the Centre of Excellence in Visakhapatnam, he added. He encouraged all employees to work with renewed dedication to contribute to the development of electricity institutions.

Skill development key to promotions

Special Chief Secretary Vijayanand emphasized that the government prioritizes employee safety in all duties. He advised that employees who upgrade their technical skills are likely to receive promotions more quickly. The event was attended by MLAs Ashok Reddy, Narayana Reddy, APCPDCL CMD Pullareddy, GENCO directors, and other senior officials.
