Andhra Pradesh has expanded its digital governance services by making caste certificates available through Manna Mitra WhatsApp Governance, allowing citizens to complete the process remotely using their mobile phones. Real-Time Governance Society (RTGS) officials said the facility is aimed at making government services more accessible.

Under the new facility, citizens can obtain and download their caste certificates without visiting government offices in person. The WhatsApp-based service is intended to simplify the process and save applicants the time and effort involved in making multiple trips to revenue offices.

To access the service, citizens must first send a “Hi” message to the Manna Mitra WhatsApp Governance number 9552300009. Once the service is activated, users will receive a list of available government services and must select the Revenue Services option.

Applicants then need to choose the “Re-Issuance of Integrated Certificate” option to proceed. They will be asked to enter their Aadhaar number as part of the verification process. An OTP will subsequently be sent to the registered mobile number, which must be entered to complete the authentication.

After successful verification, users have to enter the required information as prompted by the system. Once all the necessary details have been submitted, applicants can complete the process by paying a ₹40 service fee.

Following payment, the caste certificate will be made available for download directly on the user's mobile phone, officials said. The digital process enables citizens to obtain the document without physically collecting it from a government office.

The facility is expected to make the process considerably more convenient for people who need caste certificates for various official and administrative purposes. By shifting the service to a widely used messaging platform, the government aims to make access to essential documents simpler and more convenient.

Officials said citizens can use the facility from wherever they are, removing the need to spend time travelling to government offices or waiting for the certificate to be issued. They encouraged the public to make use of the Manna Mitra WhatsApp Governance services and take advantage of the digital facilities available for accessing government services.
