AP Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan lays foundation for temple development at Kondagattu

Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan visited the famous Kondagattu Sri Anjaneya Swamy temple in Telangana on Saturday, offering prayers and inaugurating key development projects.

During his visit, Pawan Kalyan presented new garments and garlands to the deity and participated in circumambulations and special rituals within the temple premises.

Following his electoral success in 2024, the Deputy CM had pledged to support the development of the temple. Keeping that promise, he laid the foundation stone for a 96-room guesthouse and a Deeksha Viramana Mandapam (meditation and initiation hall), with an estimated cost of ₹35.19 crore . The projects will be executed in collaboration with the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD).

Speaking at the ceremony, Pawan Kalyan expressed deep emotion, saying that divine blessings are essential for any development work. He recalled surviving a past electrical accident, crediting Lord Hanuman at Kondagattu for saving his life. He also highlighted the collective efforts of TTD and Telangana officials in funding the new temple facilities, which aim to offer better amenities for devotees.

The foundation-laying ceremony was attended by TTD Chairman B.R. Naidu , Telangana Minister Adluri Lakshman Kumar, local MLA Medipalli Satya, and other dignitaries. Temple priests, led by Chief Priest Kapindra Swami, welcomed the Deputy CM with traditional rituals and Vedic recitations. Pawan Kalyan also offered prayers to Sri Venkateswara Swamy and Goddess Lakshmi during the visit.

Temple authorities presented him with sacred offerings, including the deity’s portrait and Teertha Prasadam, while officials assured that the development projects would significantly improve facilities for pilgrims.

The event was attended by several leaders, including TTD board member B. Anand Sai, Telangana Devasthanam advisor Govind Hare, Jana Sena Party General Secretary Ram Talluri, and R.K. Sagar, among others.
