
AP CM Naidu in Delhi for Global AI Summit, Seeks Tech Partnerships
Andhra Pradesh Chief minister N. Chandrababu Naidu will attend the prestigious India AI Impact Summit 2026 at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi , reinforcing the state’s ambition to emerge as a leading Artificial Intelligence hub in India. The summit has become a major international platform for AI collaboration, bringing together policymakers, technology giants, and global institutions to shape the future of digital innovation and governance.
The Chief Minister’s visit is focused on securing strategic partnerships with global technology leaders to strengthen the state’s digital ecosystem, create high-value employment, and equip youth with future-ready skills. The state government is expected to sign key agreements with international IT firms, with a special emphasis on advanced training and job creation.
As part of the summit proceedings, Naidu will participate in the plenary session titled “AI Accelerators: Fueling India’s Economic Growth,” alongside Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma , Union Minister Jitin Prasada , and industry representatives. The session will explore how emerging technologies can drive economic expansion and innovation across states.
A major highlight of the visit is the proposed collaboration with IBM , under which nearly one million youth in Andhra Pradesh will receive skill training in AI, quantum computing, and cybersecurity . In partnership with the National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology , the state is also moving forward with plans to establish a dedicated Quantum AI University , aimed at building advanced research and talent capacity.
Further strengthening the innovation ecosystem, the state plans to establish a Quantum & AI Centre of Excellence in collaboration with the United Nations International Computing Centre , while AI Living Labs will be developed with support from semiconductor leader NVIDIA to enable real-world experimentation and industry applications. Additionally, an innovative AI Tutor programme will be introduced for students with academic support from IIT Madras , helping integrate AI-driven learning into mainstream education.
During the afternoon sessions, the Chief Minister will engage in high-level global discussions, including a roundtable hosted by the World Economic Forum on “Competitiveness through Artificial Intelligence,” alongside Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw and WEF CEO Børge Brende . The discussions will focus on how AI can enhance productivity, governance, and economic resilience.
Naidu will also meet a delegation from the United Kingdom , including Minister for AI & Online Safety Kanishka Narayan and High Commissioner Lindy Cameron , to explore bilateral cooperation in digital technology, AI regulation, and innovation partnerships.
In the evening, the Chief Minister is scheduled to hold separate meetings with global industry leaders including Adobe CEO Shantanu Narayen , Aramco India Managing Director Abdul Rehman , and Autodesk AI Head Mike Haley . These interactions will highlight Andhra Pradesh’s investment-friendly policies, infrastructure readiness, and opportunities for technology-driven industrial growth.
The summit underscores India’s growing role in shaping the global AI landscape through inclusive innovation, ethical deployment, and expanded computing infrastructure under national initiatives. By aligning with these priorities and fostering global partnerships, Andhra Pradesh aims to accelerate its transformation into a technology powerhouse, strengthen its research ecosystem, and empower its youth to compete in the evolving digital economy.
