AP CM Chandrababu Naidu to Pitch State’s Growth Story at WEF Davos

Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu , along with a delegation of ministers and senior officials, will depart for Davos today to attend the World Economic Forum (WEF) . The Chief Minister will be on a four-day visit from January 19 to 22 , during which he will participate in various WEF sessions and hold one-on-one meetings with leading industrialists and global business leaders .

The Chief Minister will leave Vijayawada Airport at 8:35 pm on Sunday for New Delhi , and from there proceed to Zurich . He will depart Delhi at 1:45 am on January 19 and arrive at Zurich Airport in the morning . At the Hilton Hotel, Zurich , the Indian Ambassador to Switzerland, Mridul Kumar , will pay a courtesy call on the Chief Minister. Subsequently, Eros Innovation Systems Founder-Chairman Kishore Lulla , Co-Chairperson Rithima Lulla , and Swanit Singh will meet him.

Later, Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu will attend a Telugu Diaspora programme organised by the Indian Embassy at the Hilton Hotel, Zurich. Telugu NRIs from 20 countries are expected to participate, and the Chief Minister will address the gathering. He will then travel by road from Zurich to Davos .

On the first day in Davos , the Chief Minister will participate in a multilateral meeting with UAE Minister of Economy and Tourism Abdullah bin Touq Al Marri . This will be followed by a meeting with Tata Sons Chairman N. Chandrasekaran , along with IT Minister Nara Lokesh . CII Director General Chandrajit Banerjee will also meet the Chief Minister. He will give a special interview to international media outlet Politico .

Face-to-face meetings with global industry leaders

On the second day , the Chief Minister will attend a CII-organised breakfast session titled “India at Center: Geography Growth – AP Advantage” at Hotel Morosani Promenade . He will later attend the inauguration of the India Lounge , organised by the Government of India.

The Chief Minister will hold meetings with IBM Chairman and CEO Arvind Krishna , Google Cloud CEO Thomas Kurian , with IT Minister Nara Lokesh also present. He will attend the “One Family – One Entrepreneur” panel discussion at the AP Lounge and later give a special interview to CNBC International .

At the Davos Congress Centre , the Chief Minister will meet World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) Director General Darren Tang and Anil Murthy . He will participate in the Energy Transition Leaders meeting and hold discussions with Swiss Deputy Minister for Economic Affairs Helene Budliger Artieda and Ambassador Andrea Rauber . He will also meet Swiss MP and India–Swiss Friendship Group President Nick Gugger , followed by a meeting with NVIDIA Vice President Calista Redmond .

Discussions will also be held with Israeli Economy and Industry Minister Nir Barkat , Trade Commissioner Roy Fisher , and Israel’s Economic Trade Mission Head in Switzerland Shir Sladzhki . In the evening, the Chief Minister will meet JSW Group Chairman Sajjan Jindal and JSW Cement and Paints MD Parth Jindal . Meetings are also scheduled with the CEO of Maersk , the global container logistics major, and the Group CEO of John Cockerill . He will attend the programme titled “Vision to Velocity – Deploying Innovation at Scale.”

Participation in global discussions

On the third day , Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu will participate in a session on industrial growth at the WEF Congress Centre. He will hold discussions with the Chairman of Horasis , Tamara Hospitality Founder , the company’s COO , and the CEO of Calibo AI Academy . He will also attend the “Healing Planet through Regenerative Food Systems” discussion organised by AP CNF .

The Chief Minister will take part in another session titled “Trillion Dollar Pivot: Rewriting Market Signals for Nature-Positive Growth.” He will be a key speaker at Bloomberg’s session “Trillions of Dollars AI Moment: Transforming the Global Economy.” He will also attend the “Building India Infrastructure” programme at the AP Lounge along with Union Ministers and participate in a session on financing regeneration and mobilising capital to address climate change .

Overall, the Chief Minister will participate in 36 programmes at Davos, including three inter-governmental meetings , 16 one-on-one meetings with industrialists , nine roundtable meetings , and several plenary sessions . He will give interviews to CNBC International and other global media organisations. On the first day of the tour, he will attend the Telugu Diaspora meeting in Zurich .

On January 22 , the Chief Minister will return from Davos to Zurich and depart for India at 2:35 pm (Swiss time) . He is scheduled to arrive in Hyderabad at 8:25 am on January 23 .
