AP CM Calls for Faster Governance Through AI

With the aim of ushering in revolutionary changes in governance, Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu has declared 2026 as the year of technology-driven decision-making . He conducted a high-level review of the performance of the Real Time Governance Society (RTGS) at his camp office in Undavalli.

Addressing the meeting, the Chief Minister emphasized that technology is the only effective tool to reduce the workload on the government machinery at the grassroots level while simultaneously improving the quality of public services. He underlined that the use of digital tools would enhance transparency and instructed officials to ensure that all decisions are strictly data-driven .

The Chief Minister called for the adoption of advanced technological solutions to address complex administrative challenges. He specifically stressed the need to expand the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) across all departments, stating that it would significantly speed up the redressal of public grievances. He also directed officials to identify staff with performance gaps and provide them with appropriate training, asserting that there should be no compromise on accountable governance . Officials were urged to encourage employees to mandatorily use digital tools in their daily work to enable faster and more efficient service delivery.

The Chief Minister also conducted a special review of the ‘Mana Mitra’ WhatsApp Governance platform , which brings government services directly to the people. Officials informed him that between 868 and 878 services are currently available through the platform. Expressing satisfaction, the Chief Minister noted that around 1.43 crore citizens have already availed services through the messaging system. He described this as a reflection of the growing public trust in digital governance and asked officials to further simplify the platform.

In the final phase of the review, the Chief Minister assessed the functioning of key departments including Agriculture, Revenue, Health, Transport, and Fire Services . He directed officials to strengthen technological integration across departments and ensure prompt service delivery without causing inconvenience to the public . Reiterating his vision, Chandrababu Naidu stated that his goal is to achieve better outcomes in less time by leveraging technology on par with developed nations .
