AP Clears ₹2.08 Lakh Crore Investment Proposals, 21,627 Jobs in Sight

Andhra Pradesh is set for a major investment expansion after the State Investment Promotion Board (SIPB) approved 25 projects involving a combined investment of ₹2.08 lakh crore.

The proposals, cleared at the 20th SIPB meeting chaired by Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Wednesday, are expected to generate 21,627 jobs across the state.

Among the major projects are Agastya Green Energy Ltd’s ₹7,800 crore investment in Kurnool, Akshat Greentech Ltd’s ₹1,600 crore project in Visakhapatnam, and ReNew AP Green Data Centre’s ₹85,200 crore proposal in Anakapalli district.

Naidu directed officials to step up efforts to attract investments in green ammonia, lithium batteries and robotics, while studying the policy and infrastructure support needed for these emerging sectors.

He also asked authorities to counter misinformation surrounding industrial projects and provide the public with accurate information about their potential benefits and environmental impact.

On data centres planned in North Andhra, Naidu said the projects would require around 3.5 TMC of water and instructed officials to address concerns over their resource requirements. He also sought measures to provide Visakhapatnam industries with water through gravity flow from the Polavaram Left Canal.

The Chief Minister set December as the target for completing and inaugurating Moolapeta Port, while calling for better integration with warehouses, cold-chain facilities and logistics networks.

He further directed officials to complete the remaining 37 MSME parks by September and work towards industrial parks across all 175 Assembly constituencies. The government will also expand the ‘One Family–One Entrepreneur’ initiative and introduce escrow-based incentive payments from December.
