AP Assembly sessions finalized for 10-day sitting

The Andhra Pradesh Assembly is set to convene for a 10-day session, as decided during a Business Advisory Committee (BAC) meeting led by Speaker Ayyannapatru. The sessions will run until September 30, with a detailed schedule for daily proceedings and topics of discussion.

The Assembly will operate daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., with three scheduled holidays on September 20, 21, and 28. Both the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) have jointly proposed 18 items for debate throughout the session. Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu has issued a directive emphasizing the importance of ministerial presence, instructing all ministers to be in attendance during Zero Hour and the Question and Answer sessions to ensure the smooth functioning of the House.

The comprehensive agenda for the sessions is as follows:

• September 18: Discussion on GST reforms.

• September 19: Focus on water resources.

• September 22: Debate on law and order.

• September 23: Discussion on health.

• September 24: Focus on industries.

• September 25: A review of the Super-6 program.

• September 26: A session on Quantum Valley.

• September 27: Debate on logistics.

• September 29: Discussion on the theme "AP towards Swarna Andhra."

• September 30: A final debate on the development of Rayalaseema, the Coast, and Uttarandhra.

This extensive schedule is designed to cover key policy areas and development goals for the state.
