Andhra to achieve 100% digitization of health records: CM Chandrababu

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Monday announced that the state has already completed digitization of nearly 78 percent of health records and will achieve 100 percent coverage in 2 years.

Speaking in the Assembly, the Chief Minister said the initiative reflects the government’s commitment to building a robust digital health ecosystem that ensures accuracy, accessibility, and transparency in healthcare services. “Soon, all health records will be fully digitized. This will enable seamless access to medical history, improve efficiency in treatment, and reduce paperwork for both doctors and patients,” CM stated.

The Chief Minister noted that digital health records would also help the government monitor public health trends, design better policies, and strengthen preventive healthcare. He emphasized that Andhra Pradesh, which pioneered e-Governance initiatives in India, is once again setting a benchmark by integrating health services with advanced technology. The Chief Minister stated that the project was initiated in Kuppam in November 2024 and is currently being reviewed as a pilot. Based on its success, it will be implemented in Chittoor district and, subsequently, across the entire Andhra Pradesh state within a span of two years.
