Andhra Pradesh Turning into ‘Jungle Raj’: Y.S. Jagan

YSR Congress Party president and former Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy on Wednesday alleged that the state has descended into “jungle raj,” marked by lawlessness and unchecked excesses . Addressing party representatives and workers from the Bhimavaram Assembly constituency at the YSRCP central office in Tadepalli , he launched a scathing attack on the Chandrababu Naidu-led coalition government .

Coalition Rule Equals Lawlessness

As the coalition government nears two years in office , Jagan questioned whether any section had benefited , alleging that welfare schemes were scrapped and election promises abandoned .

A Contrast in Governance

Jagan said his government treated the manifesto like the Bhagavad Gita and fulfilled promises even during COVID-19 , while accusing the present regime of lies and deception , misleading people through “Super Six” and “Super Seven” .

Not DBT, but ‘Loot–Consume–Distribute’

He said the YSRCP government borrowed ₹3.32 lakh crore , transferring ₹2.73 lakh crore via DBT . In contrast, he alleged the current government borrowed ₹3 lakh crore in 20 months , with no clarity on its use , calling it a “loot–consume–distribute” government .

Liquor, Sand and Mining Mafias

Jagan alleged the rise of liquor mafias , sale of liquor above MRP , circulation of spurious liquor , and illegal sand and mining operations , claiming official patronage .

Attacks on Women and ‘Red Book Constitution’

He said there was no action despite allegations against ruling MLAs , accused the government of politically motivated cases and illegal arrests , and claimed a “Red Book Constitution” had replaced rule of law. He also flagged pending dues under welfare schemes , Aarogyasri arrears , reduced Rythu Bharosa , and lack of remunerative prices for farmers .

YSRCP to Fight for the People

Jagan said people would deliver a fitting response , announcing a padayatra in about 18 months across 150 constituencies to expose the failures of the coalition government . He asserted that party cadres would get top priority in “Jagan 2.0.”
