YSRCP members claimed the Heritage company , operating through Indapur Dairy, provided the ghee to TTD, triggering heated protests that disrupted the session and forced its early adjournment .
Opposition Demands Clarity, Shouts “Govinda… Govinda”
From the outset, YSRCP legislators pressed the issue, surrounding the Chairman’s podium with placards and chanting “Govinda… Govinda” , demanding the government clarify the matter, which touches devotees’ sentiments . Their protest continued for nearly an hour, with the opposition refusing to let proceedings move forward.
Minister Fires Back Over Allegations
Ruling party minister A. Chennayya condemned the opposition’s claims as baseless and politically motivated , questioning Heritage’s connection to the laddu supply. He challenged the YSRCP to provide concrete evidence or refrain from spreading misleading allegations , warning that such tactics undermine the functioning of the Assembly.
Session Delayed Amid Unprecedented Disruption
In a rare occurrence, the Assembly session, usually scheduled to begin at 9 a.m. , started only at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, marking a historical disruption in proceedings due to the ongoing commotion.
