Andhra gears up for CII partnership summit in Vizag
In a significant move to enhance Andhra Pradesh’s brand image and attract substantial domestic and foreign investment, the state government is set to host the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) Partnership Summit on November 14 and 15, 2025, in Visakhapatnam. Today, preparations for the high-profile summit were reviewed in detail by Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri Nara Chandrababu Naidu at a meeting held at the state Secretariat.
The review session was attended by Ministers and other senior officials. Officials confirmed that the summit will be held under the theme “Technology, Trust, Trade – Navigating the Geoeconomic Order” and will feature 13 focused sessions addressing investment opportunities, technological innovations, and trade strategies.
Scale of participation
Expectations and strategic goals
Under Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu’s leadership, the summit is expected to go beyond mere visibility and MoU signings, with a clear emphasis on tangible outcomes and project execution. The government aims to attract investments in key sectors such as IT/ITES, electronics manufacturing, renewable energy, ports and logistics, and infrastructure development. Officials have indicated that investment proposals will be structured with phased execution plans, ensuring timely implementation and job creation.
The summit is also envisioned as a platform for sectoral dialogue and global networking, facilitating direct engagement between policymakers, investors, and industry leaders. The 13 sessions will cover topics such as technology adoption, trade facilitation, investment incentives, and integration into global supply chains, offering opportunities for both large corporations and SMEs to explore partnerships.
Learning from the past
Andhra Pradesh previously hosted the CII Partnership Summit in 2019 during the tenure of YS Jagan Mohan Reddy. That summit saw the signing of approximately 50 MoUs across sectors such as IT/ITES, renewable energy, manufacturing, and ports. While these agreements were valuable for visibility and positioning Andhra Pradesh as an investment-friendly state, most were letters of intent or proposals, with a limited number of projects actually implemented. Lessons from 2019 are guiding the 2025 summit to focus on execution-oriented outcomes, with accountability and timelines for investment projects.
Anticipated benefits from this summit
The 2025 CII Summit is expected to:
• Strengthen Andhra Pradesh’s global visibility as a preferred investment destination.
• Attract concrete investments with clear implementation plans.
• Facilitate job creation in IT, manufacturing, and infrastructure sectors.
• Encourage public-private partnerships for industrial development.
• Promote trade and technology integration with global supply chains.
Officials emphasize that this year’s summit is designed to convert discussions into actionable projects, ensuring that Andhra Pradesh benefits from both strategic investment inflows and enhanced global partnerships.
With the participation of international investors, state and central government representatives, and top corporate leaders, the CII Partnership Summit 2025 is expected to become a turning point in Andhra Pradesh’s industrial and economic development, setting a benchmark for future investment summits in the state.
