The Andhra Pradesh Education Department has officially announced the final selection list for the highly anticipated AP Mega DSC (District Selection Committee) recruitment drive. The list, which marks the culmination of a rigorous and competitive process, is now available for public access on the official Mega DSC website. To ensure maximum transparency, officials have also stated that the list will be made available in the offices of the District Collector and District Education Officer.

This major recruitment effort was initiated by the coalition government with an advertisement on April 20, aimed at filling 16,347 teaching posts. The drive received an overwhelming response, attracting 3,36,300 candidates who collectively submitted 5,77,675 applications. The selection process was meticulously conducted, beginning with online examinations held in two phases from June 6 to July 2. This was followed by the release of a preliminary key on July 5 and a final key on August 1. A 20% weightage was given to candidates' TET (Teacher Eligibility Test) scores, and the final step involved a comprehensive seven-phase verification of the candidates' certificates.

Out of the total 16,347 teaching vacancies, the department has successfully filled 15,941 posts. However, 406 posts remain vacant. Officials have attributed this shortfall to the unavailability of qualified candidates in the respective subject areas and categories. The Education Department has also released a detailed district-wise summary, providing a clear breakdown of the filled and unfilled positions across the state. The completion of this recruitment process is expected to provide a significant boost to the state’s education sector, placing a large number of qualified teachers in schools to benefit thousands of students.
