Anaswara Rajan At 24: From Child Artist To South Cinema’s Rising Star

Malayalam actress Anaswara Rajan is celebrating her 24th birthday on September 8, with fans and the film fraternity highlighting her growing presence across South Indian cinema. The actress has been receiving attention for her upcoming Telugu projects, particularly ‘Kaaka’, in which she shares screen space with Megastar Chiranjeevi.

Anaswara began her acting journey as a child artist in Malayalam cinema and later established herself as a promising young performer with films including ‘Thanneer Mathan Dinangal’, ‘Super Sharanya’ and ‘Neru’. Her performances have helped her build a strong following beyond Kerala, while recent projects have expanded her presence into Telugu and Tamil cinema.

Her association with ‘Kaaka’ has now become one of the major talking points around her career. Directed by Bobby Kolli and produced by KVN Productions, the film stars Chiranjeevi as K Satyam, a supervisor working in the aqua industry. The title glimpse introduced a seemingly ordinary family man before revealing a more dangerous side of his character, including a younger, action-oriented avatar.

Anaswara is reportedly playing Chiranjeevi’s daughter in the film. Speaking about the project, she recently said she could not reveal much about her character but described it as mature and challenging. She also said she felt “blessed and proud” to share the screen with Chiranjeevi at this stage of her career.

The makers have also kept the momentum going with a crucial shooting schedule in Hyderabad, which began on September 7. The lengthy schedule features Chiranjeevi and the principal cast as the team works towards completing the film ahead of its festive release.

‘Kaaka’ also features Nivetha Pethuraj, Sunil, Getup Srinu and Rachita Ram in important roles, with S Thaman composing the music. The film is scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on January 13, 2027, during the Sankranthi season.

As Anaswara turns 24, the attention surrounding ‘Kaaka’ marks another significant step in her journey from a child artist in Malayalam cinema to one of the young performers attracting interest across the South Indian film industry.
