Anand Deverakonda and Vaishnavi Chaitanya are set to reunite in Epic: First Semester, a romantic comedy directed by Aditya Hasan, whose acclaimed 90s web series established him as a promising storyteller. The film has generated strong pre release buzz, with its teaser and songs receiving a positive response and rekindling audience interest in the lead pair after the commercial success of Baby.

According to industry reports, Epic: First Semester is expected to arrive in theatres on September 11, 2026, although the makers have not yet made an official announcement. The date has gained significance after Vijay Deverakonda's Ranabaali, which was initially slated for the same release window, was reportedly delayed as production continues. Industry observers believe the Anand Deverakonda starrer is likely to occupy the vacant slot, potentially setting up a favourable theatrical run.
