Analog AI CEO Alex Kipman meets CM Revanth to explore smart city solutions

Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy on Thursday met Alex Kipman, the globally renowned technologist and CEO of Analog AI. Kipman, known for creating breakthrough technologies such as Microsoft Kinect and HoloLens, discussed advanced AI-driven solutions to help the state tackle major urban challenges.

During the meeting, Analog AI expressed readiness to support the Telangana government with its cutting-edge “physical intelligence systems.” These systems use real-time data from sensors and cameras to analyse conditions instantly and assist in solving problems or making smarter decisions.

Kipman showed particular interest in helping Hyderabad manage heavy traffic congestion, predict and control urban flooding during intense rains, and forecast climate-related risks well in advance. Responding to the Chief Minister’s request, Analog AI said it would work on high-impact solutions tailored to Telangana’s needs.

The discussion also covered integrating Analog AI’s technology into three key state projects: the Telangana Future City initiative, the proposed AI City, and the Musi Riverfront Development. Both sides agreed that combining physical intelligence with urban planning would speed up infrastructure development and improve city governance.

Analog AI’s systems can continuously monitor the city, predict issues before they occur, and trigger automated responses. This includes real-time management of traffic, water supply, power usage, and waste systems. Critical infrastructure like roads, bridges, and buildings can also be assessed using sensor data to detect early signs of damage.

The technology will enable a highly integrated urban platform where traffic control, public safety, environmental monitoring, and water systems operate through a single AI-driven command center. Advanced visualisation tools like mixed reality and HoloLens can speed up accurate city planning. AI-based traffic signals, route optimisation, and public transport demand prediction can significantly improve mobility.

Sensors could track water levels, flow speed, rainfall and flood indicators in real time. This will help authorities predict flood-prone zones early and issue timely alerts during heavy rains. The system can also monitor water quality continuously and warn officials when pollution levels rise. This helps safeguard both public safety and the river’s ecosystem.

At the end of the meeting, CM Revanth Reddy invited Alex Kipman to participate in the upcoming Telangana Rising Global Summit scheduled for December 8 and 9.
