
Amrit Udyan opens doors for 10,000 senior citizens at Rashtrapati Bhavan
The Amrit Udyan at Rashtrapati Bhavan was opened exclusively for senior citizens today , allowing them to witness the vibrant Winter Annuals and enjoy the scenic gardens.
The special visit has been organised by the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment in collaboration with the States and Union Territories, the Senior Citizen Cell of Delhi Police, the National Institute of Social Defence, Anugraha Regional Resource Training Centre and Brahma Kumaris.
Around 10,000 senior citizens from across the country, including the National Capital Region, are expected to participate. Authorities have made necessary arrangements, including transportation and facilitation support, to ensure a smooth visit.
During the visit, participants will explore various sections of Amrit Udyan, known for its landscaped lawns, seasonal flowers and diverse horticultural displays.
The initiative is part of the annual public opening of Amrit Udyan , when special days are reserved for different groups, including senior citizens, to encourage their participation in social and community activities.
