Amit Shah to Visit Telangana on October 4, Attend Prathima Medical College Jubilee

Union Home Minister Amit Shah is scheduled to visit Telangana on October 4 to attend the silver jubilee celebrations of Prathima Medical College in Karimnagar. During his visit, Shah will lay the foundation stone for the proposed Prathima Deemed University building and take part in a series of programmes organised at the institution.

Ahead of the visit, Union Minister Bandi Sanjay Kumar inspected the arrangements at Prathima Medical College on Thursday. He reviewed preparations at the helipad and various locations across the college campus, including the venue for the unveiling of the silver jubilee pylon and the site where the foundation stone for the deemed university building will be laid.

Sanjay also inspected arrangements for a photo exhibition and the venue where Amit Shah is scheduled to interact with students. He later held a meeting with Karimnagar Police Commissioner Gaus Alam and representatives of the Prathima management to review security arrangements and other logistical preparations for the Union Home Minister’s visit.

Speaking during the inspection, Bandi Sanjay recalled the institution’s beginnings 25 years ago. He said Prathima Medical College was inaugurated by then Union Home Minister L.K. Advani, then undivided Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, and then Union Minister of State C.H. Vidyasagar Rao. He said Shah’s participation in the silver jubilee celebrations would be a significant occasion for the institution.

During his visit to the college, Shah is expected to unveil the silver jubilee pylon, perform the foundation stone ceremony for the proposed deemed university building and inaugurate the photo exhibition. He will also participate in an interaction with students and address the gathering.

Shah’s Telangana visit will begin on the night of October 3. According to the schedule, he will arrive at Begumpet Airport in Hyderabad at 9 pm and stay overnight in the city.

On October 4, Shah will leave Hyderabad by helicopter at 11 am for Toopran in Medak district, where he will participate in the programme marking the commencement of works for the Sabar Dairy milk plant.

He is scheduled to reach Karimnagar at 2 pm to attend the silver jubilee celebrations at Prathima Medical College. Following the programme, Shah will return to Hyderabad by helicopter at around 4.30 pm, concluding his scheduled engagements in Telangana.
