Union Home Minister Amit Shah is set to chair a high-level security review meeting on Jammu and Kashmir in the national capital on Thursday. The meeting aims to assess the prevailing security situation in the Union Territory and strengthen inter-agency coordination.

The review will examine the overall security landscape, ongoing counter-terror operations, and the effectiveness of coordination among various security agencies. Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, senior officials from the Union Home Ministry, and top officers from the Jammu and Kashmir Police will attend the meeting.

Union Home Secretary Govind Mohan and Intelligence Bureau Director Tapan Deka will also participate, along with senior representatives from the Indian Army, Border Security Force (BSF), and Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF).

Officials said this meeting is part of a routine review mechanism conducted every three months by the Home Minister to evaluate counter-terror measures, security preparedness, and development-linked stability initiatives in the region.

Key discussions are expected to focus on enhancing intelligence sharing, improving operational synergy among forces, and ensuring peace and stability in Jammu and Kashmir. The review comes amid ongoing counter-terror operations and efforts to maintain law and order in the region.
